Description

Isopropyl 3-aminocrotonate is an organic compound that belongs to the class of carboxylates. It is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, differing only in their chirality. Isopropyl 3-aminocrotonate has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in human cancer cells and human liver cells, as well as a potential ability to inhibit the proliferation of ventricular myocytes. This drug also inhibits extracellular Ca2+ influx and can be used in the treatment of congestive heart failure due to its ability to increase cardiac contractility and decrease vascular resistance. The impurities found in this drug are not expected to be toxicologically significant.
