1H-Indazole-6-carboxylic acid is a water soluble, crystalline compound. It has an archetypal molecular geometry and can be found in the 1H position of 6-carboxylic acids. The functional theory for this molecule is that it has a hydrogen bonding interaction with the amino group of the enzyme and inhibits its function. 1H-Indazole-6-carboxylic acid also has inhibitory potency against rat liver microsomes and organometallic complexes. This molecule was shown to have photocatalytic activity in the presence of light when it reacts with hydrogen peroxide.
