Description:

4-Iodopyrazole is a chemical compound with the formula I2NC. It has been used for the synthesis of stable coordination complexes and is characterized by high binding constants. The nitrogen atoms are coordinated by three oxygen atoms from three ester groups and one carbon atom from an ester group. 4-Iodopyrazole also binds to human macrophages, showing antimycobacterial activity. Trifluoroacetic acid can be used to synthesize 4-iodopyrazole in biological studies. Optical properties of this compound have been studied in detail, including the formyl group and the pyrazole ring.
