Description:
Isoquinolin-6-ylboronic acid is an inhibitor of the enzyme adenylate kinase. Isoquinolin-6-ylboronic acid has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of tumor growth in xenograft models, with selectivity for xenograft tumors over normal tissue. It is also a substrate for phosphorylation by adenosine monophosphate (AMP) kinase, which may explain its selectivity for tumor cells. This compound may be useful as a lead molecule in drug development.
