Product Information

Name:
1H-Indazole-6-carbonitrile
Synonyms:
  • 1H-Indazole-6-carbonitrile(9CI)
  • 6-Cyano-1H-indazole
Description:

1H-Indazole-6-carbonitrile (1HICN) is a small molecule that activates the CXCR4 chemokine receptor. 1HICN has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of myeloma cells and induce apoptosis in these cells. This molecule also inhibits the growth of breast cancer, colon cancer, and prostate cancer cells. 1HICN binds to the chemokine receptor CXCR4, which is found on many types of tumor cells and is involved in cell proliferation. The binding of 1HICN to CXCR4 leads to inhibition of tumor cell proliferation by blocking the signaling pathway between this receptor and its downstream targets, as well as inducing apoptosis in myeloma cells.
