Description

2-Isopropyl-2,3-dimethyl-butyronitrile is a fluorine compound that can be used as a monomer. It reacts with hydroxyl groups in the presence of a hydrocarbon solvent to form an ester or amide linkage. 2-Isopropyl-2,3-dimethyl-butyronitrile is also capable of crosslinking other polymers and can be used to create cationic polymers. This chemical has a very low bulk density and must be stored under vacuum conditions.
2-Isopropyl-2,3-dimethyl-butyronitrile has been shown to have excellent reactivity with chlorine gas in bulk quantities and can also be used as an initiator for free radical polymerization reactions.
