Product Information
4-Isothiocyanato-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine 1-oxyl free radical (4ITC) is an organic molecule that has been shown to be a potent transport agent for the albumin and bovine serum albumin. This compound binds to these proteins non-covalently in a conformational change that results in a decrease of its pKa. 4ITC has also been shown to have strong resonance interactions with the protein albumin. The spin resonance measurements show that 4ITC binds with high affinity to rat hepatocytes and electron spin resonance measurements show that 4ITC binds with high affinity to rat hepatocytes. The absorption spectroscopy studies show that this compound can oxidize anions such as chloride ions and nitrate ions.
