Description:
1-(2-(3-Iodo-4-Aminophenyl)Ethyl)-4-(3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl)Piperazine is a drug that is used to treat throat and sinus infections. It inhibits the efflux of serotonin from cells by blocking the activity of P-glycoprotein, which is encoded by the MDR1 gene. The uptake of 1-(2-(3-Iodo-4-Aminophenyl)Ethyl)-4-(3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl)Piperazine into cells was inhibited by P-glycoprotein in a concentration dependent manner in vitro.
