Product Information
Lansiumarin C is a macrophage-active compound that belongs to the class of carbazole alkaloids. It has been shown to have potent inhibition of TNF-α production, with IC50 values in the range of 1.5 - 2.5 μM, which are comparable to those observed for clausenamide and imperatorin. Lansiumarin C has also been shown to inhibit lipopolysaccharide-induced nitric oxide production in RAW264.7 cells, as well as IL1β and IL6 production in LPS-stimulated human peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
The skeleton of lansiumarin C is composed of two moieties: a carbazole ring and an aromatic ring with a nitrogen atom at the center of its structure. The two enantiomers are formed by the orientation of these moieties around the central nitrogen atom.
