Jenner Stain Certified is a stain that is used to detect spermatozoa. It can be used for semen analysis and as a component of a test for the diagnosis of infertility. The test is based on the observation that the spermatozoa are stained with an orange color. This formulation contains two dyes, one of which binds to the DNA in the head of the spermatozoa and another that binds to the tail. The stain is then irradiated with ultraviolet light, followed by a rinse in ethanol, which removes excess dye from cells other than those stained by this process. This method allows for visualization of sperm cells in a sample at 500x magnification.
