Product Information

Name:
Jionoside B1
Description:

Jionoside B1 is a natural product that has been isolated from the ethanol extract of the roots of J. glutinosa. This compound has been shown to have strong anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo by inducing osteoblastogenesis. Jionoside B1 also inhibits the expression of phosphatase and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) enzyme, which is associated with bone resorption. In addition, jionoside B1 activates β-catenin signaling, leading to increased cell proliferation and inhibition of apoptosis. The effect of this compound on TRAP is dose-dependent; at higher doses, it induces TRAP enzyme production while at lower doses it inhibits TRAP enzyme production. Furthermore, jionoside B1 regulates serum levels of calcium and phosphate by inhibiting the uptake of these ions into cells.
