2-Ethyl-1,3-benzoxazol-6-amine is a chemical compound that has been shown to have potent anticonvulsant effects. It has a neurotoxic effect and can cause seizures in animals. The potency of 2-ethyl-1,3-benzoxazol-6-amine is significantly greater than other drugs used to treat epilepsy, such as carbamazepine. Animal tests have shown that the maximal dose of 2-ethyl-1,3-benzoxazol-6-amine on the Rotarod test was significantly lower than that of carbamazepine. A study found that subcutaneous administration of 2-ethyl-1,3 benzoxazol 6 amine was more effective than intraperitoneal or electroshock treatment for epileptic patients with a seizure index below 20%. The effective dose for 2 ethyl 1 3 benzoxazol 6 amine ranged from 50 to 100 mg/kg
