Kieselguhr soda ash flux-calcined is a diatomaceous earth that is used in water vapor filtration. It has been shown to have synergistic effects with antibiotics, such as ampicillin and tetracycline. Kieselguhr soda ash flux-calcined also has potent antitumor activity, which may be due to the complex enzyme it contains. This enzyme is involved in the synthesis of nitro compounds, which are known carcinogens. Diatomaceous earths also act as an effective agent for removing particles from wastewater treatment plants.
