Product Information
Kudinoside D is a triterpenoid saponin that has been shown to have anti-obesity effects in mice. It is a mixture of protocatechuic acid and kudinone, which are found in the Chinese herb Kuding tea. Kudinoside D inhibits the production of lipid droplets by inhibiting the activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). This prevents an increase in fat synthesis and decreases body weight gain. The compound also has potential mechanisms including inhibition of lipolysis, suppression of food intake, and suppression of glucose uptake. There are impurities that may be present in Kudinoside D such as protocatechuic acid, quercetin, kaempferol, and kaempferol-3-O-glucoside.
