Description:
2-[2-[(4-Chlorobenzoyl)amino]-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]acetic acid is a mutagenic compound that is converted to 2-[2-[(4-chlorobenzoic)amino]-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]acetic acid by hydrolysis. It reacts with ethanol in the presence of hydrochloric acid to produce 2-[2-[(4-chlorobenzoic)amino]-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]ethanol. The infrared spectra and mass spectra of this product are identical to those of the reactant. The crystal structure and class are also unchanged.
