Product Information

Name:
Leonurine HCl
Description:

Leonurine HCl is a histamine receptor antagonist that can be used to treat blood deficiency. Leonurine HCl has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of creatine kinase, which is an enzyme involved in the breakdown of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in cells. It also inhibits pachymic acid, a fatty acid involved in the production of prostaglandin. The inhibition of these two enzymes by Leonurine HCl leads to an increase in ATP levels and a decrease in prostaglandin synthesis. This compound has been shown to bind to toll-like receptors on macrophages, leading to the activation of the transcription-polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The ability of Leonurine HCl to activate transcription-PCR makes it a potential drug for treating cardiovascular disease as well as other diseases that are caused by inflammation.
