Product Information
- Lead(II)trifluoroacetate
- Bis[(2,2,2-Trifluoroacetyl)Oxy]Lead
Lead trifluoroacetate (LTA) is a selenium compound that has an organometallic structure. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of approximately 185°C and a melting point of approximately -5°C. LTA is soluble in water, but insoluble in organic solvents. Its reaction yield is approximately 73%. LTA has been shown to react with c1-4 alkyl compounds at temperatures between 0°C and 100°C, forming carbonic acid esters. The functional groups that are formed by this reaction include the carboxyl group and the alcohol group. Lead trifluoroacetate has been shown to have optical properties that depend on the concentration of lead present in it. When subjected to heating, it forms colloidal particles and pyrazole derivatives. The supercritical fluid method can be used to extract LTA from its natural sources or synthesize it through chemical reactions. This compound also reacts with inorganic
