Description:
3-Methoxypropionitrile is a colorless liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. It has a boiling point of 116°C, melting point of -105°C and flashpoint of 27°C. The compound can be used as an organic solvent for analytical purposes. 3-Methoxypropionitrile reacts with the covid-19 pandemic virus to form ethyl formate and magnesium oxide. This reaction can be used as an analytical method for determining the presence or absence of the virus in samples.
