Description

N-Methyl-5-toluidine is a chromatographic reagent. It is used for the determination of oxidation products in pharmaceuticals and other organic substances. The validation of this method was performed by comparing the results obtained with those obtained from an HPLC method. The uv absorption spectrum of N-methyl-5-toluidine has been shown to be statistically different from that of carbamic acid, cytochrome P450, and anilines. The presence of impurities was found in this product, which may cause false positive results in the assay.
