Description:

Methacryloyl chloride is a reactive monomer that is used for the treatment of wastewater. Methacryloyl chloride has been shown to be effective in removing organic compounds and metals from wastewater, as well as in the removal of basic proteins. It can also be used as a polymerization initiator by reacting with a carboxylic acid, such as caproic acid. The addition of ferrocenecarboxylic acid and optical sensors to methacryloyl chloride makes it possible to measure the pH or other properties of the water. Methacryloyl chloride also reacts with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) to form ester linkages, which make it useful for coating surfaces.>>END>>
