Description:

Methyl hydrazidodicarboxylate is a compound that is soluble in organic solvents. This molecule has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for the condensation of ethyl diazoacetate and alkylating agents, such as methyl iodide. Methyl hydrazidodicarboxylate has also been used for the production of enantiomerically pure products, including alpha-amino acids and beta-amino acids. The kinetic and electrochemical properties of this compound have been studied using nitrogen atoms as probes. Methyl hydrazidodicarboxylate has also been used to study nucleophilic reactions with oxygen nucleophiles, such as oxygen molecules or alcohols.
