2-[[[3-Methyl-4-(2,2,2-Trifluoroethoxy)-2-Pyridinyl]Methyl]Sulfinyl]-1H-Benzimidazol-6-Ol is a metabolite of omeprazole. It has been found to be a major metabolite in human urine and serum samples. 2-[(3-Methyl-4-(2,2,2,-trifluoroethoxy)-pyridinium)methyl]sulfinyl]-1H benzimidazole 6 ole was found to have an activity index of 1.5 against human liver cells in vitro. This compound has been shown to interact with other drugs such as 5 hydroxy omeprazole and may have autoimmune effects.
