Description:
H-Met-Trp-OH is a synthetic compound that exhibits a suppressive effect on the labialis muscle. The mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it has been shown to have antioxidant function, and the antioxidant system in rat skin was found to be activated when H-Met-Trp-OH was applied. H-Met-Trp-OH also exhibits an antiinflammatory effect on dermatosis. This substance is structurally related to cinnamic acid derivatives, which are flavonoids with antioxidant properties.
