Methyl 4-[(chloroacetyl)amino]benzoate is an organic compound that belongs to the group of triazole derivatives. It is a fungicide and can be used to treat candidal infections, specifically those caused by Coccidioides immitis. Methyl 4-[(chloroacetyl)amino]benzoate has also been shown to have pharmacological properties and can be used in pharmaceutical research. The chemical structure of this drug includes a triazole ring with a methyl amine group and an acetyl group on one side of the ring, which plays a role in the drug's activity. This drug is also known for its ability to inhibit diazo compounds, such as diazotized benzidine, from producing black or brown pigments.
