Description:
The active ingredient of Speciosa is the (5E)-2-mercapto-5-(4-nitrobenzylidene)-1,3-thiazol-4(5H)-one, which has been shown to have anti-aging effects. This compound is found in kidney beans and has been recrystallized and activated before use. It also contains speciosa, a mixture of alkaloids that includes indoles, such as tryptamine and 5-methoxyindole. The alcohol extract of Speciosa contains impurities and organic solvents.
