Methyl (2-methyl-4-nitro-1H-imidazol-1-yl)acetate is an organic compound that is structurally related to nitrobenzene. The methyl group is bonded to the acetate group through a hydrogen bond, and a nitro group is bonded to the methyl group. The dihedral angle between the two nitrogens is around 100°. This compound has been shown to have some antihistamine properties in mice.
