Description:

1-Methyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carbonitrile is an amide that has been synthesized by irradiating aziridine with nitrogen atoms. It binds to the steroid receptors and inhibits progesterone synthesis, causing a decrease in progesterone levels. 1-Methyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carbonitrile can be used as a progesterone receptor modulator or antagonist. This compound is nonsteroidal and does not have any significant side effects on the body. 1-Methyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carbonitrile has been shown to be effective in the treatment of prostate cancer, breast cancer, and endometriosis.
