Description:
2-Methylquinoline-4-carbonitrile is an organic compound. It is a cyanide that can be used as a source for the production of other cyanides. 2-Methylquinoline-4-carbonitrile can be obtained by bromination or iodination of 2-methylquinoline. The cyano group in this compound can be reduced to the amino group with copper and hydrogen gas, which is catalyzed by palladium.
