Description

It is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor, boiling point of 196°C, and soluble in alcohol and ether. It has a density of 1.038 g/mL. This compound has been used to synthesize the amine-containing analogs of the natural quinones. The chiralpak column was employed for the separation of this compound from its racemic mixture. The elemental analysis parameters are C: 78.1%, H: 6.2%, N: 8.3%. Preparative TLC analysis was performed on silica gel plates (60 F 254 ).
