Description

1-[(4-Methylphenyl)sulfonyl]piperidin-4-one is an epoxidizing agent that has been shown to have insecticidal activity. It is selective for spirocyclic compounds and stereoselective, which means it can be used to selectively oxidize one of the two hydroxyl groups in a molecule.
