Description:

2-Methoxybenzyl)methylamine is a non-polar compound that is soluble in organic solvents. It has the ability to bind to hydroxylamine and oxygen, which may be due to its ability to act as a hydrogen acceptor. 2-Methoxybenzyl)methylamine has been shown to inhibit the activity of cyclohexanone monooxygenase (CMO), an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of cyclohexanone to cyclohexanol and acetone. This inhibition can be attributed to its ability to react with molecular oxygen, which is required by CMO for catalysis.
