Description:
1-(2-Methylphenyl)ethylamine is an achiral, non-basic amine that can be used as a chiral building block in the synthesis of chiral pharmaceuticals. It has been shown to be selective for alcohols with the same number of carbons as the amine group. 1-(2-Methylphenyl)ethylamine can also be used to derivatize amines, such as neurotransmitters and hormones. This compound is not available commercially.
