Description:
3-Methyl-3-phenylbutanoic acid is a carbon tetrachloride and dibromoethane metabolite that has been shown to be an agonist of chloride channels. 3-Methyl-3-phenylbutanoic acid is also reactive and has been found to inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes and transfer reactions. The calibration curve for 3-methyl-3-phenylbutanoic acid was established using human serum samples of known concentrations, with the concentration measured at 280 nm.
