- [1,1'-biphenyl]-2-amine, N-methyl-
- 2-(N-Methylamino)-1,1'-biphenyl
N-Methyl-2-biphenylylamine is an aryl halide that binds to the c1-4 alkyl groups of proteins. It also modulates the transfer reactions of amines by binding to the aromatic hydrocarbons in the cell membrane. N-Methyl-2-biphenylylamine has been shown to be effective in reducing insulin resistance and hepatic steatosis, which is a buildup of fat in liver cells. This drug is also used as a palladium complex for catalysing transfer reactions.
