Description:
1-(5-Methylpyridin-2-yl)piperazine is a piperazine derivative that binds to the D2 and D4 receptors. It has affinity for the D2 receptor and can be used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. 1-(5-Methylpyridin-2-yl)piperazine also interacts with serotonin receptors 5HT1A and 5HT1B. This drug has been shown to have pharmacological effects on dopamine receptors and may have therapeutic potential as an antidepressant.
