Description

6-Methylisoquinoline is a quinoline derivative that has been found to possess high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) properties. The compound also inhibits peroxide production by inhibiting the enzyme catalase, which generates hydrogen peroxide from water and molecular oxygen. 6-Methylisoquinoline can be used as the target gene expression in herbal medicines because it blocks transcription of DNA and RNA synthesis by binding to ribonucleotide reductase.
