Description:
8-Methoxy-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo. It is able to inhibit the proliferation of MCF-7 cells by differentiating them into a more mature state. 8-Methoxy-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one can also induce apoptosis in leukemia and breast cancer cells. The mechanism of action for this drug is not clear, but it may involve inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). This drug can also act as an antioxidant, preventing ROS from forming and causing damage to DNA.
