4'-Methyl-[1,1'-biphenyl]-2-carboxylic acid is a hypotensive agent that belongs to the group of organic solvents. It is an inexpensively produced drug that has been used in medicine for many years. The mechanism of action of 4'-methyl-[1,1'-biphenyl]-2-carboxylic acid is not well understood, but it is thought to be due to its ability to activate G protein-coupled receptors and inhibit calcium channels.
