Product Information
- 3-Methoxyphthalic Acid
- 3-Methoxy-1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid
3-Methoxyphthalic acid is a member of the amide class of organic compounds. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of chloride ion channels in rat ventricular myocytes. 3-Methoxyphthalic acid has been used to prevent corrosion in industrial applications and as a clinical development agent for the treatment of malonic aciduria. The optical properties, such as color and refractive index, have been studied using nmr spectroscopy and the genus has been identified using mass spectrometry. Neutrophils are found in higher concentrations when this chemical is present.
