Product Information
5-Methoxycytidine is a labile, difunctional, hydroxylapatite-bound high molecular weight polymer. It is synthesised by the reaction of 5-methoxyuridine with dimethylated diphosphate and chloride in the presence of a polymerase. The yields of 5-methoxycytidine are dependent on the reaction conditions, such as pH and temperature. This compound has been extensively used in research to study DNA synthesis and cross-linking reactions.
