Product Information
Methyl 4-chloro-3-methoxy-5-nitrobenzenecarboxylate is a drug that has been shown to be activated by the body's endogenous enzymes. It is a potent stimulator of mononuclear cells and endoplasmic reticulum, which are involved in the production of substances such as lymphokines, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins. Methyl 4-chloro-3-methoxy-5-nitrobenzenecarboxylate has been shown to inhibit the growth of colon tumors in mice through its ability to induce apoptosis. This drug also has a pharmacokinetic profile that makes it suitable for oral administration. The drug is rapidly absorbed and metabolized by the liver into inactive metabolites, with an elimination half life of about 3 hours. It binds to DNA with high affinity and inhibits transcriptional activity through competitive inhibition of DNA binding at the promoter region.
