Description:
3-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylamine hydrochloride is a pyrazole compound that acts as a serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It has been shown to have potent cytotoxicity against monocytic cells and may be used in the treatment of cancer. 3-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylamine hydrochloride also inhibits thrombin, which is an enzyme that is involved in blood coagulation. The mechanism of inhibition may be due to binding to the active site of thrombin, preventing it from cleaving fibrinogen into fibrin. 3MPAY also binds to 5HT2c receptors, which are involved in regulating mood and appetite.
