Description

2-Phenylacetamide is a solvent that can be used as a component in alkylation reactions. It is commonly used as a component of chlorinated solvents and has been shown to catalyze the reaction with benzyl chloride. 2-Phenylacetamide can be used to produce solar cells by sensitizing the surface of silicon wafers with this solvent.
