Description

4-Methoxybiphenyl is a chemical compound that is catalysed by palladium. The cross-coupling reaction occurs between two boronic acids and two alkenes to form a new carbon-carbon bond. This process can be used in the synthesis of pharmaceutical preparations, such as drugs for cancer treatment. The reaction temperature is important for the success of the cross-coupling reaction. It has been shown that 4-methoxyphenylboronic acid can be used as a modifier in this process. The use of polymeric matrices can also improve the success of the cross-coupling reaction by decreasing the amount of solvent needed.
