Description

2-Methoxy-5-methylphenylboronicacid is a boronate ester that can be used for the organic synthesis of diverse substituted aryl compounds. It has been used to synthesize the allylamine group in a stereoselective manner, which is an important process for the production of pharmaceuticals. 2-Methoxy-5-methylphenylboronicacid has also been used in cross-coupling reactions with chloride and histidine, as well as trisubstituted chlorides. This compound also has the ability to produce amines by irradiation or by heating in the presence of amines or aminium salts.
