Description

Methyl vinylsulfone is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It has been synthesized to act as an estrogen receptor modulator, which is a type of drug that blocks the effects of estrogen in certain tissues. Methyl vinylsulfone binds to the active site on the tyrosine kinase enzyme and inhibits its activity. This prevents the activation of other enzymes and proteins that are necessary for cell proliferation, leading to cell death.
