Product Information
3-(2-Methylphenyl)-1H-pyrazole is an organic compound that has been studied for its potential use in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. It is synthesized by the condensation of two molecules of acetone with two equivalents of methyl phenyl sulfonyl chloride, and then hydrolyzing the resultant ester with sodium hydroxide to form 3-(2-methylphenyl)-1H-pyrazole. 3-(2-Methylphenyl)-1H-pyrazole is a haloalkyl compound that can be used as a precursor for other compounds. The synthesis of the oxime derivative was achieved using a mixture of cyclohexene oxide and cyclohexanone in ethanol and ethylene glycol as solvents. This molecule reacts with nitric acid to produce an electroluminescent device, which can be used in applications such as electronic displays and light emitting diodes (LEDs).
