4-(Methylamino)-3-nitro-benzoic acid ethylester is a heterocyclic compound with the pyridine ring system. The reaction is performed under anhydrous conditions to prevent hydrolysis of the ester group. The resulting product is purified by column chromatography, filtration, and recrystallization from ethyl acetate.
