Trifluoromethoxy-2-methoxy-5-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl methanamine is a conjugate of salicylic acid and 2-methoxy-5-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl methanamine. It is an active metabolite of the drug salicylic acid. Trifluoromethoxy-2-methoxy-5-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl methanamine has been found to be excreted in urine, with its metabolites being glucuronide conjugates of salicylic acid. The mechanism for this conjugation is not yet known.
