It is a colorless, water-soluble liquid with a strong odor and can be used as a corrosion inhibitor in epoxy resins. 4-(Methylsulfonamido)aniline has also been shown to have antioxidation properties, which are attributed to its ability to scavenge oxygen radicals. 4-(Methylsulfonamido)aniline can be used in silicone-based products such as flowmeters, due to its low volatility and high boiling point.
